Fair Use

1. Public Sources

Talking heads publish on their own YouTube channels and X handles. Headge discovers that public record, transcribes where needed, and places directional claims onto a closed topic catalog. Stored source URLs point at the original post or the exact video moment. Headge does not ingest paywalled research.

2. What Is Shown

Each view is a short paraphrase in objective voice: who said it, about what, which direction, over which horizon, how fresh, and where to inspect the original. Mix is a count. Aggregate sentiment is a mean of attributed scores. Neither is a Headge call. Headge does not invent a view the analyst did not state. Full transcripts are not the public product.

3. Why Fair Use

Headge relies on the fair-use doctrine in United States copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 107) for this transformative use of publicly posted commentary. In brief:

• Purpose: criticism, comment, and news reporting — a short attributed catch-up that sends the reader to the original, not a substitute for watching or reading it.
• Nature: published, factual market commentary already offered to the public.
• Amount: a one-sentence summary and, where stated, a quoted level. Not the video, not the thread.
• Market: the catch-up is meant to save the reader time, then hand them the source. It is not a replacement feed of the original work.

Fair use is judged case by case. This page describes how Headge works; it is not a ruling. Machine paraphrase can still get a claim wrong — see Disclaimers.

4. Names, Marks, and Portraits

Analyst names, firm names, and venue names identify who spoke. They are not a claim that the analyst, the firm, or the venue endorses Headge. Portraits are stylised editorial representations generated from public profile images, labelled as representations, never as endorsement photographs.

5. Trademarks

Tickers, index names, and product names belong to their owners. Headge uses them to name topics and instruments.

6. For Agents

The For Agents surface, llms.txt, the agents API, and MCP return the same attributed views. They are not a transcript dump and not a house view. Anyone who cites a view should cite the talking head and the source URL.

7. Takedown

If you are a rights holder and believe Headge has used more than a fair, attributed paraphrase, write to legal@headge.com with the source URL, the Headge URL, and what you want removed. Headge will look at it. Talking heads who want to be left off the roster should write to the same address.
